Association Committees

We have 11 committees and 2 Laison positions tasked to help maintain the community. Any resident is welcome to help work on a committee. Click for Our current Membership.

  • Maintenance Committee — does periodic checks of existing mechanical/electrical infrastructure and informs the board of required maintenance.  Interfaces with Management Company/Vendors to get systems repaired/replaced as needed.
    • Sprinkler systems throughout the neighborhood — interfacing with a sprinkler repair/maintenance company
    • Fountains — 
    • Electrical in cul-de-sacs — mostly lighting and fountain pumps.
    • Electrical lighting at the gates
    • Guardhouses
      • Airconditioning
      • bathrooms

      • Painting

  • Construction Committee — Deals with larger projects outside the realm of Maintenance Committee. Currently, this committee is not active.
    • Road maintenance — Repairs and replacement of potholes, etc.
    • Curb Maintenance — Mainly in the cul-de-sacs.
    • Bomanite/Paver Maintenance.
    • “Bridge” work at front gate.

  • Landscape Committee — Deal with the Landscapers and Tree Trimmers.
    • Spring and Fall Plantings.
    • Landscape Trimming.
    • Replacement as needed.

  • Social Committee — Plans Events throughout the year
    • Spring Barbecue — Called Cinco de Mayo in past years
    • Fall Barbecue — July 4th or Labor day in past years.
    • Halloween kids party.
    • Annual Meeting Lunch.

  • Finance Committee — Assists the HOA Treasurer in preparation of monthly HOA financial documents.
    • Assist with annual budgeting.
    • Assist in duties assigned by the Treasurer for the annual audit

  • Compliance Committee — Reports violations of our Rules and Regs as well as our Restrictions as recorded in our HOA docs to the Board of Directors.

  • Nominating Committee –Provides candidates for annual Board position elections.
    • Conducts meetings with perspective candidates to assure there is understanding of the roles and responsibilities.

  • Architecture / AMF Committee — Assists residents in understanding and using the HOA AMF process
    • Assists the HOA board in reviewing and understanding a resident’s AMF at HOA meetings.

  • Communications / Publicity Laison — Assists the HOA board in communicating with residents.
    • Assists in preparing Maplewood Isle Facebook Communications.
    • Assists in preparing Maplewood Isle “On-Call” Telephone message Communications.
    • Assists in preparing and sending Maplewood Isle e-mail communications.

  • Appeals Committee — To hear appeals of residents for violations of HOA rules and regulations.
    • Authority to affirm or deny residential appeals

  • Security Committee — Oversee the HOA physical security process and procedures. This committee is currently not active.
    • Investigate residential incidents and concerns
    • Work with the HOA’s hired security company on incidents and issues
    • Develop and new or change existing processes and procedures for HOA Board approval
    • Implement approved processes and procedures
  • Technical advisor Laison — Oversee and manage all Maplewood Isle technologies; camera systems, computer systems, plate readers.
    • Administrator for social media platforms; Facebook, One Call Now, Maplewood-Isle.com.
